About

Sanj Chandran

Starts with why. Ends with something that works.

I've been writing software since 2000. Since 2018 I've worked in healthcare, mostly launching services: pharmacy, dental, telehealth, GLP-1 weight care, wellness, physio, longevity and supplements, end to end. It started in the UK. This year I've been helping launch in Miami and New York.

I work with the people who deliver care: clinics, pharmacies, clinicians and, most of all, patients. My job is to make good care easier to start, easier to run and easier to reach. I work closely with two high-end clinics, one on Harley Street and one in Notting Hill, as growth partner and fractional CTO, helping connect their brands across strategy, growth, tech and marketing. I'm also partnered with a physio, movement and longevity business, and we're scaling a supplement range, already in the UK, to the US.

I don't just build for partners. I help them grow. That means strategy, execution, and putting the right teams in place for technology, marketing and performance.

Preventative care is what interests me most. I use technology to support it, ethically and responsibly, with compliance designed in from the start, not checked at the end. I know the rules that shape this work: GDPR, MHRA, GPhC, CQC, NICE guidance and ASA advertising rules, plus the EU AI Act for anything involving AI.

Every service has technology underneath it, so I build that too: patient journeys, prescribing workflows, the admin nobody sees, and lately a lot of AI, used carefully. I run 10QBIT, our technology company. Around it sit OneClub, our creative and production unit in India, and Aqcellor, our talent arm in Sri Lanka.

I live in Vancouver, so my mornings are London's afternoons and my evenings are Colombo's mornings.

How I work

5 principles
01

Facts first

When a decision is hard, I start with the facts and the data. Then I weigh the likely outcomes, good and bad, and the risks.

02

Patient safety before everything

In healthcare, safety and responsibility come first. If what we build fits that, then we check compliance and how the data is handled.

03

Stay calm, find the root cause

When something goes wrong I stay calm, because panic spreads. I limit the impact first, then find the root cause, including which decision led here, then fix it and learn from it.

04

Values over money

If a project goes against my values, I say no, even when they are paying.

05

Automate the dull, keep people for judgement

I automate anything repeatable. People stay where decisions and responsibility sit.
